Frequently Asked Questions

  • Working with me is a collaboration. You are the expert on your experience. I provide guidance based on my training and clinical experience. This may include coaching, support around dietary approaches, movement, or other habits. It can include lab testing and interpretation. So often, the needed element to support change is not more information but rather access to space and energy to support the manifestation of the shift. I find body-based approaches such as craniosacral therapy and acupuncture are very supportive in this work.

  • I generally work well with folks who:

    1. Recognize that feeling well is not about discovering the perfect diet, supplement, or exercise routine.

    2. Desire to strengthen their ability to attune to the signals their bodies provide in real-time and increase their capacity for self-directed management of many health concerns.

    3. Are open to using a variety of modalities and tools, including acupuncture, nutritional and lifestyle coaching, and mind-body approaches to address their concerns.

    4. Are ready and able to commit resources of time, attention, and finances to support their health goals.

  • I work with adults who are experiencing a variety of symptoms/health conditions, including (but not limited to): fatigue, digestive concerns, high blood pressure, high blood sugar/insulin resistance, autoimmune disorders, arthritis, eczema, insomnia, anxiety, and depression.

  • You can schedule a 20-minute call to discuss your goals and how we might work together to support you in these. Please note that this initial call is not a medical visit, and I cannot provide specific treatment recommendations. I can work with you if you live in North Carolina, Georgia, California, or Minnesota.

  • Although I treat some primary care concerns, I cannot be your primary care provider for insurance purposes. We encourage you to establish care with a local primary care physician for conventional needs that may arise.

  • Dr. Winbush is an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance. She is opted out of Medicare (effective Jan 1, 2024).
